FJ if you can live with the poor visibility and higher pricetag (I couldn't).

This is the last year for the FJ, by the way.

There's a reason they discontinued the FJ Cruiser for 2014, and the tacoma continues to be the best selling in his class...

FJ if you don't need a truck bed. It is much more enjoyable to drive. The visibility issue isn't that bad.

It all comes down to truck bed versus covered rear cargo area. If you don't need the bed, go for the FJ. I had to make the same decision when I got my Tacoma. Although I don't need the truck bed, I just like the truck. And I couldn't get over the fact that I see way more women driving them around lol. Why not also consider the 4Runner?

Tacoma and Toyota did not announce a press release for the fj being cancelled

lol. It's a class of what, one other truck and a Honda Pilot with a bed. The Taco leads the class because no one else cares about the segment at the moment. The FJ is more of a niche vehicle and they don't always make sense to produce. They do have the highest resale of any Toyota though.

If you need/will use a truck bed, get the Taco. If you're trying to decide between an SUV and a truck though there's probably a good chance you don't need a truck and the FJ will serve you fine. My main gripe with the FJ is the interior, too goofy for my tastes.

I think this is what kenlyns is referring to, but as you can see Toyota pulled the notice that said it would be discontinued. It has been like this almost every year...some rumor the FJ is done for and then silence, and then next years model roles out per usual.

    Says nothing about FJC now:http://fleet.toyota.com/availability.asp

I vote Tacoma only because that is what I wanted.
I do like the looks of the FJs in certain colors & models.
In the end I wanted a truck.

Couldn't go wrong either way, I have more use for a truck, but I like FJ's too. Here is my cousins 2 month old FJ.

Yeah, you only know what you have a use for. Do you kayak? Mountain bike? Surf? Like to haul large fat women around by the truck load?

A double cab is probably the best of both worlds. Seating for 5, and if you really don't need to bed open, throw a topper on there, and enjoy even more versatility.
