I am camping off of 231 on and off every week for the next few months. Looking for areas to explore. Stock rig and street tires so nothing crazy. Spent last week on most of the roads in the east pocket/ sycamore canyon. Also did a-1 mountain to 222 to 180. Been all over Sedona in the past. Also available to take parts to and from Snottsdale. Thanks in advance

Did you check out the lava tubes near 222? They may still be closed , if not it's worth checking out

Red Mountain off of 180 is one amazing place. short hike

You already mentioned Sycamore Canyon (Paradise forks is amazing).

There is another lava tube between the Lava River Cave and Red Mountain west of HWY 180. Hint, a lot of the topo maps show/name features you would not otherwise find....(I use Backcountry Navigator XE)

    Inner basin, San Francisco Peaks

    Grand Falls on the Reservation

Turkey Tanks off of Leup Road, bouldering and petroglyphs: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=35.25142,-111.39934&t=h&hl=en

On the east side of 89 theres a bunch back by Sunset crater and back way to Wupatki monument and such. Just easy FSR's. Nice views and such.

Plus also up by Kaibib National Forest, but I think there's been some fires up there recently.
