You can do a shitty $5 module that goes crimped onto the brake light circuit. Or you can get the led bulbs that come with it built in. Personally prefer the bulbs since it's easier to go back

Also not road legal in most states, so keep that in mind

Pulse break lighting came with my previous Taco as a $299 add-on. Hindsight is 20/20, I know I was ripped off for $289. I believe it is a common dealer add-on to ensure profits are made on vehicle sales.

That said, I think they are effective. Catches my eye every time I see a pulse break light.

I've got one on my third brake light. See the link in my signature for more information.

I can't stand them. Personally I don't think they add any safety, instead they just annoy the person behind you... like those flashing motorcycle headlights, but as others have said, it's so easy add.

The act of annoying the person behind you means they are paying more attention to you. More attentive drivers are safer drivers.

    Think about it.

no, you are just needlessly pissing off 99.9% of drivers who do pay attention. It’s this mindset that brings us “nanny state bullshit”, Think about it.

I'd hate to see your reaction when someone turns their blinker on...

Don’t be stupid. blinkers are designed to flash automatically and are not as bright. Brake lights and headlights are not. There is a reason they don’t, and also why those “flashing” units are banned in many countries.

I never expressed my opinion on them. I just assumed you don't like flashy things. :p
Besides, they're illegal in the US as well.

Pretty sure thats a false correlation... if there was any concrete foundation behind that statement, pretty sure flashing head and taillights would be installed/mandatory from the factory. If a solid/bright red light doesn't get your attention, I doubt making it look like a disco tech is going to help you.

Huh that's interesting, good short read and info. Better explanation than, "it's illegal!". I wonder what they plan on saving it for in the future. What ideas have they tossed around in the conference room
