    Hey all,

I'm a flashlight addict and just got myself a Nitecore MH25 specifically for truck duty. I'd like to mount it somewhere and like the idea of having it on the left lower side of the driver's seat. However, I wince at the idea of drilling into the seat, so QuickFists or the VooDoo bracket are not my top choices.

Given the the side of the seat is basically a large piece of flat plastic, I was thinking of some sort of clamping mechanism that one could attach to the bottom edge of the side of the seat. I realize the dangers of it coming loose and rolling under the brake pedal for instance, but I've trusted good clamps in the past with success. Thing is, for the life of me I can't find a solution that would work.

Thoughts? Ideas? I could mount it somewhere else but I'd really like to not have to drill into the truck.

image.jpg Not sure how big the Nitecore is, but I got clamps for my Mag-lite at Graingers. Mounted it beneath the jump seat in my AC. Easy to reach from the driver's seat.

I have the voodoo mount, its going in the console. Any drilled holes will be barely noticed if removed.

    No not yet.

Out of curiosity what does the bypass toggle do for the rear camera?

Get the divider for the center console and just drop it in there. Really no need besides cool factor to have a mount. Also I've been wanting to get a mini USB rechargeable so it will stay plugged in while in the console. This way seams more functional than cool.

According to my own knowledge base on the new 3rd gen, the backup camera turns on when I throw my manual transmission into reverse. Therefore there must be a switch inside the transmission casing or even inside the cab in the location of reverse. I want to tie into that switch with some sort of manual bypass and throw a rocker switch on the dash so I can just turn on the backup camera whenever I want. (Especially helpful when some jerk is riding my bumper at a red light or I need to get someone's license plate - lots of stupid drivers in my area that road rage over stupid things)

Also a possibility I could connect a dash cam to the backup camera and have front and rear view running and recording at all times. Just trying to find if someone has already done this on the 1st, 2nd or brand new 3rd gens yet

Anyway, back to topic... I'm looking at the nightcore flashlights as well as rechargeable Fenix brand. Trying to find a place to mount them where they won't get destroyed, and I don't want to drill holes if I can help it

I like this idea very much, I was just about to repost this product I saw on another thread.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003OXJL5K/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A38ZACU24QZ8RJ
MAY require some trimming. Check dimesnions on your CC lid, I estimated

Also if anyone is wondering where to find the center console divider for cheap, here's the link:

I have the center console divider and have another flashlight in there right now (before the Nitecore arrives), I was hoping for a slightly slicker solution. I'm also not sure if the MH25 will fit in there. If that's how you want to carry yours, I recommend the MH20, also USB rechargeable but smaller and super sleek, pushing 1000 lumens: http://flashlight.nitecore.com/product/mh20

I was just thinking the "ohSh!t" handle on the passenger side might be an option... With the advent of the 3D printer, a custom made bolt in Mount would be a great option if you're fine with reaching over to the passenger side to pull it off a mount?

How about a molle pouch for it and then something like a Blue Ridge Overland Gear visor organizer?
Would be above your head for easy access. No drilling and you get some bonus space for other crap.

When the reverse light comes on it turns the camera on. Find the reverse light wire in the harness running to the rear and hook a toggle switch up to it

I like the outside the box thinking, but I'd be worried that the pillar airbag deploying would launch the light into my passenger's face. I think the visor idea has merit too.

That's a very good point! I guess if I wanted to collect on my wife's insurance.... Kidding :ballchain: I'm looking at this visor organizer now, but I really like this post on the GRIDIT organizer. Should be able to find one that fits the 3rd gen. I figure the link I posted previously to the GRIDIT on Amazon.com will fit our 3rd gen lid with a bit of trimming.

    Tell me what you think

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/grid-it-center-console-lid-organizer-no-drilling.352463/

Also, did anyone else notice the pen/tire guage clip on the underside of the CC lid? Pretty handy, I put a pen in it, hasn't failed yet. Good job Toyota
