OP - did the engine stall? Looks like your exhaust is under water and/or did you do the breather mod?

Oddly enough the truck in my avatar pic actually drove better than it did pre-dip. Put about 30k miles on it after it went into the drink and was fine.

My first car ever back when I was 17, went threw this pit plenary of times, this time I went to far left got stuck in a ditch. Hydro locked the motor got some water in the cab. After I got pulled out we pulled the plugs, cranked out all the water and drove it home misfiring/running on 4-5 cylinders. Did a tune up and ran great until a month later when the window wires went on fire. After that windows stoped working and traded it for my first 5 speed car Hyundai Accent

If you believe everything the manufacture says, and thats not a Tacoma, and the water was not up too the hood, just push up by the motion of the truck.

Same. OP will be fine. People freak out and cause panic. Get it checked out at least and move on. Your truck will be fine.
Had a dumpster fly into the side of my truck. 2500$ damage. Insurance did not go up. Guess it depends on the situation.

My truck kept running fine in the water but I lost traction. It eventually shut down when I walked back the trail to meet a park ranger that was coming for me.
After a few hours of sitting in the pond when I returned to retrieve it with some help from a few good ol boys it fired up in the water but couldn't produce enough power to stay in gear. After it got yanked out of the water and idled for a few minutes it ran ok once the water was out of the exhaust.

So far I've had time to change the oil and gut the insides. Right now the entire cab below the dash is sitting in my living room and porch. Tomorrow I plan to start it up for the first time since Sunday and check the electrics and see what Carista says about the error codes.

How often should I change this? I don't see it referenced in the owner's manual....

Having a “wake” up to your hood and driving in water that’s hood deep and very different. I’ve taken sports cars and plenty of trucks with a wake up to the hood. But that’s only just over the axle / barley touching the chassis. If you were hood deep, you had water in your cabin. That’s a bigger problem.
