Give the OP credit he's working the problem...hopefully the due diligence pays off.

Surprised none of the hot heads on here have yet recommended you take it to the dealer and "march right to the service manager and DEMAND ANSWERS!"

I'd invest in a stick to check future puddle depth from swallowing your truck. Just a suggestion.

Never go through water you don't know the depth of.

It seems like you are getting as many trolls in this thread as you are helpers.

I would definitely take the advice given here on changing fluids and disconnecting electrical connections and adding dielectric grease.

However, I would be more worried about your engine. You said you left it running and it stopped on its own? Then you restarted it while it was still submerged? If so there is a very real possibility that you hydro locked the engine and possibly bent or broke a connecting rod. This would definitely explain the lack of power and Christmas tree dash.

Good luck, OP. Hopefully she fires back up after you get everything flushed/replaced.

Side note, I’m currently in Jamaica and their commercial for the Chevy Trailblazer shows it in a river taking water over the hood and up into the windshield.. no way they would advertise that in the states haha

I wish! Grew up there and miss it greatly, aside from how busy it is now a days. We have the same truck as well - who woulda thunk

How's the starter OP? I had to replace mine after it sat in water for a minute without wading...
Of course the thing is right at the lowest point..

This is the exact reason I do not buy used vehicles. Everybody is recommending he ditch it , sell it , whatever , think about that the next time somebody tells you “don’t waste money on new find a good deal on a used one” . Lol

Yesterday I got the cabin put back together miraculously without busting any of the plastic stuff or losing/gaining any screws. Also went to those off the underside again since the skid plates were off for the oil change.

Today I got the differentials oil replaced and checked the 4WD system. 4Hi and 4Lo are working fine including the rear diff lock.

Right now the only issue I've come across and can't troubleshoot is the AC outlet in the bed. When activating the switch in the cab the green light for 400W will illuminate only while the button is pressed but does not stay on. I've checked the fuses for the inverter and they seem fine. Does anyone know exactly which fuse(s) are part of the bed AC power system? I've scoured the web and mostly just get other people's mods posts or links to the owner manual that doesn't help.

    yep..
Hope you get it back to prior condition. Might as well grease the u joints as well. I bet some water seeped through the seals.

    Good luck!

After a little more research I discovered that the inverter is that grey box under the center consol. I know that area was submerged so I went back to retrieve it and this is what it looked like after opening. Besides the obvious scum on the chip board, I found that something blew up.
My neighbor is a tv/electronics repairman and if it can be fixed for less than $100 I may do that, otherwise I'll put some aftermarket inverter somewhere. That's a job for next payday or later.

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
