def agree, if i had a tire rack/put it in my bed, it would only be the same rim

I have the nfab rack that bolts into the tracks
I prefer it's style , of sitting down in the bed....
The one you pictured last night , I don't care for... Cause it blocks your rear view

 

I wish I could find another 4runner rim for cheap to match my mag grey set

I have a 5 set of trd or .... But prefer the mag grey ones ... And don't want to paint my trd rims (yet)

 

he didn't like that either, so we designed it to pivot down. pull the rear bolt and it rotates down and locks into place.

we designed that one with the intent for him to build it (which he did), but he did ask me to price it out for him if i were to have built it, just out of cutiosity. bedlined and hardware included, that's a $450 rack.

 

exactly, that was why he brought me in to design it with him. he was looking for something that leaves most of your visibility out the rear unabstructed, but also has an option for hauling space. he leaves it down for day to day stuff, and raises it for wheeling or times he needs the bed.

They were looking for something that folds the spare down out of the way to keep near-stock rear visibility. Nice rack though toss a shovel and ax on the other side from the hi-lift mount and you're golden.
