private selling your '08 that has less miles than mine AND in better condtion...id say maybe around 14-15K or even more. I see so many okay '06-'08 Tacos going for 16-18K. KBB estimated MY truck at like 13.3K for private sell, but I dont know...I really do want the 4x4 and the diff lock...just I love my Taco at the moment

check out Kelly Blue Book, they can give you a rough estimate of what your truck is worth, like with mine, last I checked it was surprisingly worth 13.3K for private seller in good condition

    :)
i'm assuming 2wd right? and miles?
i would think you would be able to cause yours is an 08,
i think trade in prices for my 06 with at the time 110kish miles was about 11K

i hear ya, but all the little stuff doesn't add up to much, with the way you like to wheel, in the long run you're better off puttin in a few more g's to get a 4x4 than spending that money on lifts and suspension. don't take this the wrong way, i don't care what you do, but i just put those out there cause it's not AS bad a deal as others i've seen, as chris said, i'm appalled at the price of these used trucks, even the first gens

private, i've def seen more expensive trucks than yours, but one thing we never really know, is how much they actually go for vs asking price, i'm sure others have way more experience, but in my opinion it really just depends on the buyer, u could list ur truck for 18K and have some random guy pick it up the next day, or you could list it at 15K and have it sit and sit, just depends on who is looking

haha, nice! i've thought about getting rid of mine twice for a white double cab 4x4, i figured if i could sell mine, put in like 2K and get a 4x4 with lower mileage, i would, but with one of them, there was no contact info on CL for me to even go see the truck, it looked legit, but he was missing a digit on his phone number

    and no email option

so I was thinking if I could get 15K for my truck as is, I would profit about 2200 (from how much I owe), which thats enough to rebuy everything back and even get a little bit of a bigger tire, same rims, muffler, grille, stickers, CB and even get another Rough Country 3" suspension lift for the time being until I would get the 2700 together for the suspension setup...damnit nam

    Just gussets... everywhere

Not to discourage you but getting another rough country 3" until you can get the cash for a suspension isn't gonna benefit you much. Save your money man you'll be glad you did

A 4x4 will do you 100x more good than any of those mods, just something to consider.

yaaa, but the RC 3" only costed me $250, which is the main reason I bought it in the first place, and with how much I make, it would take about 5 or 6 months to get the money I needed without screwing myself over with my budget. I dunno though....im still very confused on what I want to do
