in the process of shopping for insurance, who do you guys recommend? I've currently got Travelers = standard fire insurance company, after my at fault accident, my insurance went up extra $500 for the year, i've gotten a few other quotes all about the same, I'm gonna go ahead and switch anyway, I didn't like the way travelers handled my claim

I have progressive and they handled the hail damage claim great. My truck was two weeks old when it got a but load of hail dents in it:crapstorm:. Progressive told me there was no time frame on when i had to file a claim

Geico is garbage, after my wreck they paid $15k and dropped me and I'm still going back to the shop to get repairs they never did. I got tboned, wasn't my fault. Steering rack is next because my alignment is trashed. Repairs took 4 months and I know the techs who worked on it they said they didn't take care of a lot of the mess

When my chevy caught on fire, they pitched out 34k and paid all my medical bills and haven't had any lip.

My 98 Camaro SS caught fire on I-40 just east of Gatlinburg and burnt to the ground at 3AM on a cold February 2005 night in an area where there was no cell reception. That was fun, but at least I was warm until help arrived.

I had my fan clutch seize up and almost come through my hood on my S10. I'm not sure if that was before or after my pinion broke in my rear axle and my axle came apart while driving.

I Have Progressive and can not say enough good things about how they handled a claim after a severe motorcycle accident that I had a few years ago. The person at fault had Allstate and they also impressed me. Representatives from both companies became like friends and even called me several times to check on my psychical progress during the months it took me to walk again. Progressive did an awesome job of working with my health insurance company on my behalf to get my $500k in medical bills reduced down to something manageable. I would say either company will do you well if you need them. If you have multiple vehicles I suggest you select "stacked" coverage if you can afford the extra it costs.

nammer, have you tried Liberty Mutual.....I am back with them after a "small hic-up" we had over their typo......

I have had 2 auto insurance carriers in my 40 years of driving, GE!@$ for 3 of those and now back to Liberty.......My move to Florida forced the issue when the "little green guy" tried tripling my rate :luvya:
