You guys are getting "out there" with all the off road stuff. Kinda left me behind with all the mods.

I ran out of Mad Money so I need to go back to work so I can play again.

 

lol i just reenlisted so i got some play money for awhile. Most of its going to saving but i have some to play around.

Oh yeah she is getting her share of it right now. I flew here out here to sicily and we have spent the last week driving around and staying in different cities. Shes getting alittle pampered. Its schmossing her over to let me get stuff for my truck. Its working so far...

That sounds really nice. You know how to really win her over on the mods? Go to 1-800-flowers or something and have them delivered when she gets back. Then put a little note on it saying "I miss you already." That is if she's into flowers. If not Hersey's can do something like that.

no i usually fill up at 1/4 tank n thats usually at like 200 miles...im startin to use premium gas instead

That's a good habit. The 1/4 tank part.

I've put premium in mine since day one.

I'm not a fan of db lifts. I think the best way to lift a pre runner, especially if you're looking for around 4", is a spindle.

 

Are you sure you need to chop them? i would run the tires and make sure you need to chop it. Thats what i am planning on doing. I probably wont even chop them unless its rubbing bad.

 

I'm about 90% sure. With after market uca's the tire gets pushed back more and thus rubs. I'd rather not chunk the tires that I'm going to spend about a grand on. This way I wouldn't ever have to worry. Also when I back my boat in I have to use full lock in reverse so if I can't do that then I'll be screwed.

The guy quoted me $150, well he asked what I wanted to pay so I told him what most are paying. It's a hot rod shop that does roll cages. We'll see how it works out.

I had read so many different things and had my head spinning that I decided to just pm the pro. Here's what Chris wrote back to me.

So to my understanding aftermarket uca's give more caster to offset for the caster lost from lifting and thus upon compression the tire moves back slightly more.

You may of been thinking of the All Pro long travel which moves the wheel about an inch forward.
