The muffler that comes with their catback system is a offset/center, but you can do a center/center, 2.5" in I believe to 3" out.

I used a 3" in/3" out for mine, but I was doing a custom exhaust w/ y-pipe and everything.... In all honesty if I was doing it over, I'd do a 2.5" in/2.5" out.

I installed flowmaster super 44 about a month ago and did a over axle chop. I like very much bc its loud but disappears on normal drive until the engine is under load.

I just heard back from Gibson. They confirmed no cat back for the DCLB and did not sound like there was one in the works either. Of course I could just weld on an extension on the head pipe.

Had them cut out the new Flowmaster today (5 days old?) and weld in a magnaflow. MUCH better. This is what I wanted from the beginning. The sound is low until I get on it and then it ramps up. Almost no drone in the cab compared to the Flowmaster.

Unless you are pushing more air through the engine (I'm not talking about your crap, that you think is awesome, aftermarket intake either)...and aftermarket exhaust is going to be a huge waste of money...plus the new V6 makes it sound like a fart can exhaust....but the Bro's will say it sounds awesome (but it really doesn't). Now...on my 500HP 68' Firebird...that's a different story.

Jesus. Get off your high horse. We don't give a donkey's dump about your 500HP 68' Firebird or your need to let everyone know you have one. The topic of discussion here was exhaust/mufflers for the TACOMA. You don't like it, move on. I didn't buy it for power, I didn't buy it for looks, I didn't buy it to make your dick hard. I bought it because I wanted a little more pronounced exhaust note when I got on it and to make me happy. Mission accomplished.

Depends if you want the 2.5" in/out; 3" in/out; or 2.5" in / 3" out.... Just go to Magnaflow's website and choose the 18" pass through muffler and go from there. I did the 3" in/out center/center. Probably would have gone 2.5" in/out if I did it all over, but the 3" sounds just fine after pairing it with a Vibrant Ultra Quite Resonator. The muffler that comes with their catback system is a 2.5" in / 3" out and is offset/center (for some stupid reason).

@Freetime which did you end up going with?

Mine is the 2.5 in/out. I didn't want the bigger pipe.

Good stuff here, keeping tabs on the discussion for if I decide to change the exhaust. I'm waiting on OrangeVirus to do their thing first then the exhaust would be second.
