So i have a flowmaster 40 series installed right now and it's just a muffler swap so the rest of my pipes and all stock. 40 series muffler sounds really good for it just being Muffler swap but I've been having it for a while and I want a deeper and more aggressive sound. I've been looking at the flowmaster super 10 and I need some suggestions on it. How does it sound on a Tacoma? Is it too loud where it doesn't sound good? Need some suggestions before I actually end up ordering it

There's an entire sticky here with exhaust clips. Users post truck, year, engine, exhaust setup. Unfortunately, most guys practically stick the camera up the tailpipe, so you don't get an accurate representation of the exhaust note.

The Flowmaster 10 is definitely aggressive. I had the FM 50 "American thunder" catback for a while on my first Tacoma then went to the FM 10. Huge difference and I liked it a lot. It got a bit ricey above 3700 rpms.

I think i have heard the claim that the complete spec-u exhaust from urd is one of the best sounding systems on the market.

Yeah you ain't kidding brother, it was night and day. I sold the truck with the FM 10 on it, I have an MBRP now and it's perfect for me. The 10 got loud and obnoxious on the highway and was a cop magnet in my area, but it had a nice tone if you keep it below 3500rpms. I drive like a grandpa in an Buick so I stayed far below the ricer threshold lol.

Wow I wonder what you'll get if you get pulled over for an exhuast
Lol below 3500rpms got it! Only way it would sound nice ):
Maybe I'll just get a full exhaust it's a pretty penny but it'll be worth it ...

I got an "improper exhaust" ticket one time and a few warnings and figured it wasn't worth the hassle. State trooper in an unmarked gave me the ticket, had cruise control set at the speed limit and pulled me over for 35% tint and the FM 10 exhaust. Said the tint was dangerous because I wouldn't see other drivers, yet his UC car had limo tint.

I watched the clips for a lot of mufflers, (borla, flowmaster, thrush, and even TRD) decided on a Flowmaster Super 50 series delta flow muffler 2.5 in and out and it sounds good. Not too loud unless your mashing the throttle, at 70 they sound good also. Between that and my K&N the truck seems to have more low end grunt. Truth will be this spring pulling my 27 ft camper.

Really for 35% ? What a noob! That tint %35 is legal here in California because it's not even dark at all and isn't worth getting a ticket how dumb

Couple tint shops told me the most tiny they can put on the front windshield is 35% which is partically nothing ? But I might just try that out

I have 35% tint all round and don't get hassled :notsure: and the cops around my areas litterally have nothing better to do!
I like the borla exhaust because it doesn't sound ricey, but it's also not too loud.

X2. No tint on my windshield aside from the solar strip. 20% all around with the solar strip makes it feel like you're looking out of a tank.

The only problem with dark tint I've had is when I'm reversing. Takes a bit more attention and/or brighter reverse lights. Otherwise, I like dark tint for the privacy and cooler interior temperatures.

Did you ever end up getting the FM super 10? If not what did you go with? And I see that your located in Riverside just like me and now I wonder if I’ve ever seen your truck around.
