flowmaster super 44

i bought a flowmaster super 44 from autozone awhile back for $100.
its supposed to be flowmasters loudest muffler. but its only a little bit louder than stock.. is there any way that it could be like an imitation flowmaster or something and auto zone is just trying to rip people off?
it has flomaster stamped on the muffler and everthing but idk. its really quiet.
when i listen to people on the internet who have flowmaster 40 series they sound alot louder and better. i thought the 44 is supposed to be louder.
any help would be really appreciated. cuz im considering ordering a 40 right from flowmaster or online somewhere. but i dont want too if its gonna be the same thing as what i already have.

 

my 44s quiet too unless you get in high rpms, but i found a jeep with a 40 that wants my super 44 so were swapping on thursday

the stick on hood scoops are gone now. they looked dumb lol i just havnt updated my pics.

lol yeah im planning on doing the headers and then if its too loud or if i lose power ill decided on wha im gonna do for a muffler

 

got it switched today, the flowmaster 40 is much deeper and richer than the 44

 

mmm something to consider sicne I going to buy a exhaust soon
