    I have that same nasty mess with japanese beetles... The bag isn't too bad when new, but give it a day or two and it turns nasty as well.... but thank goodness it cuts down on the number of bugs eating my plants.

    We like to eat out on the side porch and the flies would just bombard us while we ate. Not any more.

    I have a second one hanging right next to the first one, the flies like the one that is 6 inches thick with dead flies.
