Hi guys! For the last three months I've been researching pieces, parts, knowledge, tricks and sources for my Tacoma. Every time I ask google a question this forum comes up as the answer. My Toyota history goes back a long way with a few trucks that have taken me all over the country. My original Taco, 1996 standard cab with 205,000 miles is sitting next to me in my shop as I type this.

Last year I got the 2018 Tacoma and as budget was an issue at the time I ended up with the SR5. 20,000 miles into it fortune had changed directions and in November I was able to upgrade to the 2019 TRD Off Road. CRAWL control is my hero.

Started with the usual stuff. Upgraded suspension to ICON with the Billet UCA's, coil overs (2.5), leafs in the back with the 2.0 shocks. Method 18" wheels with TOYO Open Country MT (a little loud overall but nice right, good grip).

Complete clear bra paint protection over the front end (fenders, grill, hood, bumper and mirrors). Ceramic window film all the way around (Colorado legal). PIAA LED headlights for the HI/LOW OEM headlights. Baja Designs 30" in the grill, Baja Squadron cornering fogs in the stock locations, the Baja reverse bar for the back. It was between Baja and Rigid and Tacoma World pushed me towards what might be the best lighting upgrades I've ever done. Everything stays hidden, perfect lighting, rock solid so far.

Electronics have been simple up to this point with an iDatastart remote start with DRONE mobile GPS control and tracking. I've got the Alpine HALO for an upgrade but I'm still deciding on the other stereo components before I tear into it for that. Love bass but I use every square inch of the interior space and storage so I'm torn on how much area I will part with for a subwoofer. Decisions, right?

Decked storage for the bed (LOVE IT).

I've acquired most of the parts to fabricate my own hidden winch setup and a custom fairlead but that might have to wait until spring. For now all the various parts are mocking me by sitting on a shelf and I will no doubt be stuck somewhere wishing I hadn't procrastinated long before I get around to welding it all up and installing it. This forum led me to the WARN 89611.

This weekend I am sinking my teeth into my roof rack. About 12 hours of design and measuring, test pieces, more measuring, more cutting, more test pieces. Finally have it all dialed in and ready to press the buttons on the CNC and see how this shakes out. I will post progress pictures as soon as I have something worth seeing.

The rack is going to hold Rotopax Fuel, Pelican 1750 for waterproof storage of recovery gear, MaxTrax (because they are available in DESERT TAN!!!), shovel and an axe incase I need to chop a tree down, fend off a zombie, or gather firewood when I get lost in the mountains(happens often).

Anyway sorry for the long winded intro. I am just excited to be on here finally and I hope I can contribute and give back to the place that saved me a lot of hassle of buying crap that wouldn't work the first time.

    Cheers,
