I’m still getting used to the push button start and not having an actual key. Today I almost washed my FOB! My keys were in my hoodie and luckily I caught it before I tossed it in the washer. Got me thinking what would happen if I did? Anybody ever get stranded because their FOB broke? Just thinking of a back up plan for traveling. I guess throw my spare in the console.

The metal key in the Fob should open the door.

Even with a dead Fob battery, hold the Fob against the Push To Start button while pressing should start the truck.

If you have a spare Fob in the console, make sure it is disabled or the truck won’t lock.

BTW, here is a thread where a Fob was in the washer and dryer and still worked.
