    I did this mod last night and I really did spend more time looking for the connector and the wire than actually wiring it up.

    I am getting some driving lights soon and I do not have any open slots on my switch panels. I was trying to figure out some way of hooking up my fog lights and the new driving lights to the same switch without losing independent control of either set of lights.

    I had just installed some PIAA backup lights and I took the OEM fog switch and mounted it next to the A-trac. After doing the fog relay mod, I checked the fog wires with the multi-tester at the switch and found out that the switch power came on with the stick.

    I just connected the black w/white stripe wire and the blue wire (switch ground and switch hot from the OEM fog switch) and they worked the same way.

    Now I have an open slot to mount my driving light switch.

    Does anyone know anything about HID lights on a 2011 tacoma. I installed a set of high/lows and they are giving me some trouble.

    ok this might be a stupid question, but I have done the fog light mod with the wire going from the blade connector to the green wire splice, not the towing relay. Is the difference here that you can have the side marker lights, and the running amber lights with the fogs?
    Any reason to be concerned with the green wire method?

    No this method means that you have to have at least the side marker lights on to have the fog lights on. The green wire one I believe is to the ignition so the fog lights come on with the ignition and do not need the side marker lights. The running amber lights are a separate component that either came with the truck or you need to do the DIY.

    This mod is also "fuse protected" unlike the blade/green-wire on anytime mod...unless you use an inline fuse--this mod also works with your factory lights-off timer switch--
