    Update---

I FINALLY decided to drop the $45 on bulbs, so I replaced them. The fog lights now work....BUT...as long as the head lights are on, the little green bulb on the dash is still always on, regardless if the fogs are on or off. WTF? Weird right....

I checked the fuse again before I bought the new bulbs and it was good. I haven't checked the relay, but I'm assuming that since the fogs light up there's nothing wrong with it...?

I believe the fogs only operate with the low beams on.

Well yeah, the fogs do turn OFF when the hi-beams are on. The fogs them selves are operating like normal; but im talking about the little green light on the dash that lets you know that the fogs are ON...this indicater is always on, even when the fogs are turned off

are you sure there is a light on the dash for the fog lights? or are you talking about the light that is on the actual fog on/off switch? there is no light on the instrument panel for fog lights on my 06.... there is only the green tail light , light on the bottom left side.

The green indicator is to let you know the parking and or headlights are on. It has NOTHING to do with the fog lights.

With the truck on, and low beams on, this pic is with the fog light button in the "on" position:

and with the fog light button in the "off" position:

The little green bulb indicator on the dash is for the fog lights

The fog lamp switch will be illuminated as long as the head lights are on (actually it's wired with the TAIL relay).

Well back in December before both my fogs stopped working, that little green bulb turned on and off according to the fog light button. That's how I knew when the fogs were on or off, theres no light on the button it self

Or maybe I'm having a blonde moment and just forgot. that's what I get for waiting 3 months to fix this huh. Can someone who has a minute go and play with their fog lights and see if that green bulb indicator is in sync with the button to see if I'm an idiot?

My 2008 did not come with fog lights, but I have the green indicator to show when the head lights are on. I added fog lights and the only indicator inside the truck that shows them on, is the lighted switch. I don't know if this helps or not, but I thought I'd throw it out there.:)

So do I have the 1 special truck that does not have a light on the button itself? lol

I'll have to grab my taco manual from my house on lunch to re-read it.

Well, damnit you made me go out in the rain and check it out on my truck, no worries it's a slow day in Porsche world. My boss is wondering WTF I'm doing running around in the rain playing with the lights ... LOL

My green light is on with the headlights, low and high beams only, fogs have no effect on it. My owners manual calls it the "headlight low beam indicator lamp".....

Just went and got my manual, which states indicator is for headlights like others have already stated. Psh. I could have sworn that green indicator turned on / off when the fog button was pressed / depressed in the past. Guess I should pay more attention eh..

So it looks like everything is working like it should. Thanks for all the input!
