Im looking at the Alpine CDA-9887 on Crutchfield and it says that a fold-down face receiver is not compatible with the Tacoma. I just ordered a Scosche single dash install kit from *********, and I'm pretty sure ive seen pics of other users with the same receiver installed.

Can anyone verify whether or not the fold down face receivers work with the scosche/********* dash kit?

I am not sure on that particular model but the problem is that some Flip outs only have limited angles which means that when they flip out, they rub on the bottom of the dash board. Others have multiple angles which allow you to set to your specific application. The best thing to do is to get the specs from your particular model and find out the demensions of the screen when it flips outward. Then measure the distance from the radio cavity to the bottom of your dash. Hope this info helps you.
