A resonator solved my rasp and loudness. It’s the lag at low rpm’s. The truck just bogs down at the low rpms. Maybe second and third gear.

Could be gunk on your maf from the k&n air filter.

Long tubes should not be the problem

@Kidwidataco, the notes on the web page say that they will add horsepower, but I don't now how much. These are designed to be welded to the existing cats, and should not throw a code(According to one of the threads below...make sure that they O2 sensor is removed during welding, or the sensor will get damaged from the welding heat). I expect a good exhaust shop could weld in straight-through pipes and bypass the cats to get even more power. I believe there are O2 sensor simulators that can eliminate the code when not using cats. I wanted to keep the environment-friendly cats, and I had planned on learning to weld and getting these installed, but we ended up having a kid and my priorities changed.

Long tube headers will not cause an engine to lag at low rpm. You have other issues.

Idk if that oil from the filter is no good or not, but maf sensor gets cleaned every time.

Low end tourqe suffers from the DTLT’s. It was noticeable in my truck just after installation. It’s not just me, it’s others saying the same thing on TW. It’s not so with the shorties the OP is selling. The more I talk about this, the more these shorties are sounding like a good buy.

Then u should buy em and report back.
I've run both... Ur truck will have a Honda Civic tq curve if u run long tubes, ypipe, and a 3"exhaust, but it should NOT bog like u said... It should scream and rasp, but not bog.

If ur truck is bogging and falling on it's face, you have other problems or your use of "bog" is not what I understand. I thought bogging was more like a stumble, falling on it's face, too much fuel, a major restriction, dying, cutting out. None of which are caused by long tubes headers.

My experience with bogging is dirt bikes being cold and u trying to give em WOT... They bog and clear up eventually.
Same with the old air cooled beetles on a very cold morning.

Unless you have dyno evidence you're experience is basically meaningless. My truck lost nothing on the bottom end with my long tubes.
