I didn't have a choice with this one. 4 wheel drive came with it. And yes, I engaged it a couple of times just for shit and giggles. But mostly I just left it in 2WD and turned on the LSD

I'm not necessarily looking for a set. But if one were to fall into my lap I probably wouldn't turn them down.

Wrote a blurb up awhile back but the long and short is it needs a rebuild. Gonna start with the injector block and top end first to see if that corrects the issue before it gets completely gutted.

 

Hope parts aren’t a week away.

At least on a positive note he ‘got a proper tester and did it again at the injector ports instead of the glow plugs and the cylinders are all within tolerances pressure-wise’. Not overly confidence-inspiring with how bipolar he was with the diagnostics so we’re testing ourselves. He gave a direction with the pump and top end so starting there.

 

That overheating issue is one of concern. As you know bad things happen. Hope it was shutdown in time before extensive damage.

 

We’re questioning if there was even an issue like he said given the compression is fine. He changed his diagnosis literally about ten times so we’re going to do a process of elimination with the rebuild and scope the cylinders before we pull anything.
