FOR THOSE WHO ORDERED, How long was wait?

As title implies, was wondering how long it took from placing your order, to time arrived at the stealership?

if possible can you guys post configuration, color, and whether you added the prem. tech. package or not? This would really be useful for us who are still waiting and anxious.. Thanx in advance..

Ordered a TRDOR DCSB 4x4 in quicksand with tow pack.. August 28th....

 

ordered super white DCSB 4x4 TRD Sport on August 25 and still waiting (MA). only extra options are tow package & all weather mats.

Was told 8-10 weeks for it to arrive in jersey. '16 Trd o/r 6spd with premium package white with black/orange interior

That depends on whether they were able to find a truck going to another dealership and snag it or have to place an order for a new build which means waiting for a build to coincide with what has been ordered. I don't think Toyota builds custom trucks. They just build them and the dealers "match' what is closest to what the customer wants or does not want.

 

I wish more people would grasp this so that we don't have to keep going over this. This reason is also why its not possible to make any sort conclusions about " order" time to delivery. I appreciate the info OP was trying to get but, for the most part this thread is useless.

 

I understand that there are going to be variables, but I seem to keep reading that the long beds and JBL equipped trucks are taking the longest. Another thing I was curious about was what locations were taking the longest for arrivals. I know the info is all in this forum, just figured go through one thread than the whole 3rd Gen section for some info...

 

I bought a TRD Sport on 9/13 and was told it would be three weeks until delivery. I was given a VIN number so I know the truck was built on 9/11. They also told me the VIN "might change by a few numbers" which seems squirrely. Will see what happens. Located in eastern MA.

 

If the VIN had an alpha digit in the last 6 it wasn't a real VIN. If you're in MA I wouldn't be too optimistic seeing your truck any time soon. Northeast is taking fooorrrrrever to get trucks. Ugh

Reading this thread, now has me depressed, although 3 weeks isn't too bad, it's still not grand.

 

Ordered July, truck is built and sitting in a compound where I can't get it as Toyota has not released the trucks yet in Canada!!!!!!

Ordered TRD sport 4x4 DCSB M/T w/ Tech package, Tow package, tonneau, all weather mats in Barcelona Red. Build date is 11/16. Just ordered it yesterday so I have don't have much info on delivery etc... in Maryland btw.

 

Now I understand your avatar. Can you hop a cheap 1 way flight to Texas, CO, or Utah and pick one up?

 

I ordered a 4x4 SR5 on 9/23 - I was told yesterday that there was a recall on all 4x4's and would be 2 more weeks.
