    Got some more parts.
    IMG20250131165749.jpg
    Transmission pan gasket.
    IMG20250131165900.jpg
    IMG20250131165906.jpg
A tool to grease the front wheel bearings. If I had an older truck I could leave this installed but as I have front and sensors I'll have to grease and remove.
    IMG20250131165932.jpg
Nice thermostat housing. OEM one get corroded.
    IMG20250131170056.jpg
OEM tstat to swap into the nice new housing. Just gotta now get the hoses, new dgas bottle, water pump, and radiator to work on the cooling system. I have also decided to invest in a Carli suspension system. I'll run the 2.5 springs with the Carli arms. I plan on running the back country shocks that Carli makes as they're budget friendly and seem to offer the best ride. Rear will run the Carli shackle. Spring wise I think I'll stay with the OEM springs for now as I need to retain the payload capacity. You can swap over leaf springs from a 08 and newer superduty but you need to move the front mount.

Carbon fiber door panels came in, very happy to find a clean set and they came from California. These are a very uncommon but look much better than the wood grain stuff found on lariats. I believe the carbon were only in the sport edition trucks.

Transmission plug came in so minus the o-ring for the front filter I have everything needed to work on the transmission. If the weekend is nice and the census isn't bad the day before than I'll work on it. Tomorrow I drop the truck off to get the s&b cab Mounts installed. @Torspd and I could do it but the labor was half off so can't argue with that. We can save our backs for the Carli suspension install or the cooling system upgrade. Lol.

will it scratch easy? I dont believe so. the clear coat is pretty think from what i can tell. i think with my usage itll be just fine, very similar with the lariat with the simulated wood. just gotta get it tinted with the ceramic tint to protect from the uv light.

S&b cab mounts installed and I cannot stress how much better the ride is. I really like to say it's better than new current gen hd rams and superduty's I've driven.

So the new center console came in so I elected to install it before it got cold.
    IMG20250212171454.jpg
    IMG20250212171457.jpg
It was complete so ready to install. Hardest part was finding the correct orientation of the brackets but they can only go on one way.
    IMG20250212172809.jpg
Seats out, they're heavy but not as heavy as the newer seats.
    IMG20250212174801.jpg
Loosely installed it so I can get everything in it's hole. And aligned correctly. Safety first after all.
    IMG20250212175601.jpg
Installation is complete and the arm is at a much happier height. Plus I can now have better cuo holders and a do other things. It's big fancy.

Weather is finally not cold so got to do some wrenching on the daily. Decided to install the Ford warn hubs.
    IMG20250223135718.jpg
Nice complete kit. Came with good grease and anti seize.
    IMG20250223140944.jpg
Learned this trick where you release one lug nut by this slot and the cap releases it's tension. Very nice as you don't need to undo all 8 and retorque them or breaking a $100 cap.
    IMG20250223141005.jpg
    IMG20250223142623.jpg
Little t25 action and the OEM hub is out.
    IMG20250223142633.jpg
Quick inspection and ready for install
    IMG20250223142858.jpg
    Greasing new hubs
    IMG20250223143052.jpg
    Ready for wave spring
    IMG20250223144601.jpg
Its a bit tricky to get to point but just needed a moment to think of a solution as it's a very tight fit. Had the clutch ring and cage with one hand once engaged used the other the hub with e bolt through it and the gasket to suck down the clutch ring in the free position.
    IMG20250223150145.jpg
    Driver side down.
    IMG20250223153201.jpg
Passenger side completed. Ran both sides and both engaged and release very nicely. Nice upgrade and look good as well.
    IMG20250223153403.jpg
    IMG20250223153414.jpg
The stock ones, while are convenient with the auto engagement by vacuum, fail as the hub is plastic and I believe the cage is also plastic. With the warn as it's all metal that is no longer a problem.

In planning for less issues in the future I'm going to order some parts for the high pressure oil system. From some research the dieselsite standpipes and dummy plugs seem to be the best available. There seems to be a drop in quality in other brands even the updated OEM ones in terms of the o-rings lasting a long time.

    https://www.dieselsite.com/2004.5-2010dieselsite60lstandpipes.aspx

While there I will also install new o-rings and nipples for the oil manifold for the injectors. The hhc diesel seems to be the best offered. I need to do more research on the torque spec. Some say 75ft-lbs others says 150 ft lbs. Big discrepancy.

    https://www.hhcdiesel.com/online-st...DERS-MUST-BE-RECIEVED-BY-3-00PM-CST-p56837475

Lastly in that area are o-rings in the female end of the injectors where the oil rail nipples go. It's held in place with a c clip. It could be swapped while in the truck but is a pita. Ideally I wouldn't have to mess with it unless I change injectors. Still planning this out.

Some good vids for my research on the install
