Nothing out there really knocks my socks off style wise. Everything is kinda ugly, including my 3rd Gen. Though I do like Volvos… :p

Think if Ford tossed on the Bronco Sport front clip it would be a little better. Maybe even called it a Bronco Sport Ute.

Volvos, while being the weapon of choice for talentless, shitty drivers, are good looking cars.

A V90 Cross Country yeah baby! Audis weren’t too bad there for awhile, unfortunately they went down the road of who can have the biggest grill too…

Anyways, seeing Mavericks here and there, they aren’t too bad. Thinking the Bronco Sport grill would of made it.

I saw a Maverick parked next to a new Ranger a few days ago and the Maverick looks 100 times better than the Ranger, I think the mini truck revolution is going ramp back up again and we're going to be seeing a lot of these on the road. It's going to take a lot of the "I don't need a truck, but I want a truck" crowd away from Tacoma, which hopefully means Toyota will come out with one eventually.

Like many of you, I really like the Maverick. Saw my first one a couple of weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised with its looks. We’ve driven a Camry hybrid for the past 14 years, so I’m used to the CVT transmission. With that said, I really want to drive the 2.0 turbo. But, even though I’m interested, I won’t seriously look at one for a couple years.

Yeah he did, that Four Four Two was bad ass! Someone recently redid that car. he was a gear head so he gets a pass…we tried recently watching some old reruns of Rockford Files…wow that was bad. No idea why I loved that show when I was kid. lol! Maverick show was more my dad’s era.

Not sure why Ford brought that name back from the dead, of course look what Chevy did to the Blazer.

Edit: man time flies, they redid that car just a smidge over 10 years ago.

I still like those old shows like Mannix and the Rockford Files, even though they were kinda cheesy. Seems like Ford has been screwing up naming vehicles lately, many better choices than Maverick for this new mini-truck. You are so right on the new Blazer, Chevy should be embarrassed.

I will say, getting the jokes now that went over my head when I was kid. lol! Man they were cheesy, beat the shit out of those cars too.

Yeah, like the Mustang Mach E, the styling and name is a bit of a disservice to the Mustang legacy. Not sure what demographic they are going after.

I think so too. I know it's plain looking but to all those that don't like the look, remember that Ford is not really going after truck enthusiasts with this one.
But first thing, those wheels gotta go.

Your photo really reminded me of my first truck. Still think it’s ugly though lol.

I need to see if I can put in an order for hybrid base. We have the F-150 PowerBoost now and it’s a nice size and comfortable to drive but when we go back to 2 cars when my wife goes back to work there’s no need to have a carry everyone $60k car. I’d be happy with a Maverick as our primary car and an old suburban 2wd for those 2 times a year I need seating for 6+ and/or to tow a rental excavator or otherwise. Still thinking through it, don’t need to jump the gun just yet, I do need to see what my options are though.

with proper wheels and some AT tires it will look alright. All these pics of base models with steelies are rough.

Even if your AT tires drop it by 2 mpg, the hybrid is still going to get 40mpg.

I kind of like it, and it would suit my truck needs perfectly. Ford hinted that they were going to bring out an EV version in the future, so I guess I'll wait until then.

It'd be nice to see the return of the performance street truck, and unibody makes a shit load more sense for that application than body on frame.
