Lifetime warranty on drivetrain, and Toyota reimburses you some/all of what you paid for the 8 yr.

Ass beating of a lifetime with the belt for the asshole who didn't do his or her job.

Agree 100%. If the dealership is sold, or as stated mgt changes for what ever reason, you are SOL. Another reason, this is on the dealer, not Toyota. This dealer could go belly-up tomorrow, then you're really screwed.

Get that new motor now. You'll prob only be able to bargain for a new short block, but even so that should be all you really need. Any damage will be limited to the mains, rod bearings, cam bearings and cam/lifters.

Oh and BTW, make sure it's a new Toyota engine, not a Jasper or some other type of reman'd unit.

Sure! And I'll be getting a BJ and steak dinner too!

With my luck, I'll be walking, horny and hungry! But I appreciate the positive vibes.

Doubtful. They didn't drop it off a lift or burn to the ground on their watch. They wasted his motor. He's due a motor, nothing more, nothing less.

I'd push for a Toyota replacement motor. If they don't budge, see if dealerships/repair shops are licensed or registered through the state your in. In my state, there is an arbitration board for this type of thing if you don't get what you feel is fair (replacement motor from Toyota). If it gets ugly, you could always put a big sign in the bed saying they forgot to put oil in your truck and park it in front of the dealership...

WTF is with you people? How can you ask for a lifetime warranty on something that no one can get a lifetime warranty on? Even if you paid over $100k for this truck it wouldnt have a lifetime warranty. Be realistic and less pathetically greedy.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was wanting to know. I will call them up tomorrow morning and see about getting the motor replaced. Since it is a 2015, would they have an engine available?

Maybe I will see if they will import a Hilux engine and switch over to Diesel!

I would not want a truck that I bought new with a replacement motor this is not his fault and he didn't buy a truck with a replacement motor and they need to bend over and take one for the team plain and simple.....

Drain the oil, drive it until it stops, fill it back up with oil and call the dealer to have it towed back into the shop.
