They are like the 5100’s. I’m sure they are great just like the Bilstein’s

Fox's version of the 5100 but serviceable, unlike the 5100.

Or buy a shock that you can service. Up to the user. Not everyone wants/needs a 2.5" R/R for their vehicle.

Installed these with the eibach 2 inch lift springs a couple days ago. Set the snap ring on the lowest setting and got two inches of lift. I am very pleased, good ride and good off road. I have Fox 2.0 with reservoirs on the back and a wolf add a leaf. The back seems too stiff any suggestions?

Single leaf AAL? That's the problem if so. Either weigh the back down to smooth it out, get a 3 leaf AAL or a full replacement pack. Adding a single leaf to lift the truck necessitates it being thick and stiff to provide that lift on its own. Giggity.

As others have said, these look like fancy 5100s.

But there's a slight catch there... I don't think these are simply copies of 5100s with a Fox sticker.

Bilsteins have digressive valving, whereas Fox (and King, and others) typically have linear valving.

Linear valved shocks typically have a better on-road ride and better all around performance, whereas digressive shocks handle g-outs better.

    https://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/digressive-vs-linear-vs-progressive-pistons-shock-valving/

So if you want a shock that will have a better on-road feel, linear is probably where you want to be, but is that potentially minor difference in ride worth the price of admission for these $500 shocks vs. 5100s that are like 1/3 the cost?

That probably depends on how many instagram followers you have...

Bringing back this thread but…what would be “better” in regard to a lift and ride quality. Set these to the stock/0” and buy a lift spring or get a stock/0” spring and move the ring up to achieve lift?

Spring rates being equivalent there's no difference. It's functionally the exact same thing.
