What is your total lift front and rear and tire size? I have a DCLB and doing an identical set up with the 2-3 inch length rear shocks.

Any chance you remember how many threads you have showing or the measurement of those threads? I’m nowhere near that high and the shop is saying they can’t get much more. Thanks!

Here are some pics, I recommend 2.5 to 3" at the most. Truck still road great cranked up. If you look at the coilovers body, I only had to crank them up about an inch to get 3" lift out of them. No spacer on top. Truck road better than stock too.

This helps a lot. Thank you. I don’t think mine were set correctly from the factory. I have about 2” on my 2nd gen and would like another inch if possible after installing an AAL.

I ran full 3" and wheeled Moad UT, CO trails, and ID dunes with no problems. Sold them with 40K on them and they are still in use today, 2 years after I sold them. Great coilover for the price. Good luck with your truck.

Thanks! I’ve been running them about 7 months now and love them. Just need to get the height issue resolved. appreciate all the info. Now I know it can be done and will still ride nice.

Thanks again! Followed a few YouTube videos and got it done. Ended up taking the whole strut out, removing the spring and adjusting like that. Was able to be way more accurate. Got it right where I wanted it.

For those that are searching about these coilovers... this is set with 4” of threads showing on the bottom of the strut. From hub to bottom of fender is 25”. Brand new AAL 1.5” with overload leaf left in. Have it about 2” in the back but I’m sure it will settle some. 1E0D3B4F-89E5-44D1-8B97-6AE91FD7B049.jpg

So if I already have an AAL that gives me 2" or more lift in the back can I still use the Fox 2.0 980-24-670 or will they be overextended because they are only supposed to be used up to 1" of lift. Is there a different model number I should be looking for? Thanks!

More than likely that is too short of a shock. Do you already have this setup installed?

No I have Bilstein 5100s in the back but they are blown out now after about 10 years and I just wanted to see if I could upgrade without breaking the bank. The one parts place I talked to said the Fox would probably be too short too but that the Bilstein 5100s only have one part number and even though they say up to an 1" lift or whatever they should be ok?

I'm confused, you asked about a Fox PN, but you don't have those shocks, you have Bilstein 5100s. Do you have the AAL installed already?

If Fox is an option, they have several options depending on lift height. We would not recommend the 0-1" lift 980-24-670 Fox shocks for an AAL that gets you 2" or more lift.

Yeah I asked about the Fox shocks as I'm looking to replace the existing worn out 5100 shocks in the rear. I already have an AAL. I will just go with the Bilsteins again if I have to but for the amount of off roading I do (not much) I was surprised they wore out like they did. Can you give me a Fox part number for the 2.0 without reservoir that would fit ok? Thanks!

Thanks for the info! So can you confirm that
Bilstein part number 24186728 should be ok for my rear setup? Cheers

We don't sell Bilstein, so I don't have those shock lengths
