Damn, fair enough. Fox cranks them WAY more than King.

Here's how mine came. Only 2 or 3 threads showing. It still gave me about an inch up front.

The silver original spring FOX uses is 13" long, so the collar will be 1" lower to start for a given ride height. When I put 14" long King coils with just the ARB bumper but no winch or engine skid yet the collar was higher. I also have dual batteries in the stock location, so that's some extra weight, too.

Personally I wouldn't get too wrapped around the axle on the final location as long as you're not super far down the body. It's also not necessarily good to be all the way against the top because that means your spring rate and spring length are probably on the high/long side.

BTW, looking good, that King stuff sure does look sexy.

When I was doing my research I came to the conclusion (could be wrong) that fox is very inconsistent on the preload from the factory. Mine came with 12-13 threads and I have read them delivered anywhere from 8-26 threads showing.

As everyone says all trucks are different . Slap them on and go from there. They are not to hard to adjust. Your dad will love them I got the DSC resivours and it rides great!

I too was concerned about this. They should have 6” of total threads from top to bottom, I’m right in the middle at 3”.

I really wish Fox would offer the extended travel with a 14” spring and set a 2” lift standard. Mine have more preload than I’d like although the ride is still great, I felt no difference between the 2 heights.

Chase- if you’re reasonablely handy it’s not a huge deal to remove them. It’s only 8 total bolts to get them out, I can do it in about 15 min now.

If you’re not going to lift the rear I’d suggest just running the factory setting. I liked it, but I went to 285’s and needed / wanted more clearance. Drive a bit and you can always go higher later.

I don't want to hijack a thread here but, just for my information because I haven't posted for a while and I just bought a 2018 AC OR.
Did anyone consider SwayAway coilovers for a 3rd gen truck lift and if not is there anything specific wrong with them for gen 3?

    Thanks

I’m sure this is a newb question but are these fox 2.5 the same as the TRD Pro?

so out of the box gives you a 2inch lift? If I buy a set of trd pro fox suspension, will that give me a 2inch lift as well?

    thanks guys

    list is growing fast
Not pros. Completely different. Pros are not adjustable.

Out of box give 2nd gen 2” and 3rd gen 1”.
