I went with kings for these reasons.

    - they document and list every part of their shock so it's easy to find parts. Since most shops sell kings it's easy to go in and get something ordered

    -revalvable

-different droop applications for different shock bodies.

    -matches my truck

    Example.

I'm running king 2.5 resis in front with tc uca

But in the rear I did 2.0 smoothie shocks because they give me 12 inches of droop. (Dakars, shackle flip and bamf shock relocation)

Im sure fox and icons have similar customizable options but

Heard about icons leaking (sure they're fixed now)
And I just like saying "king" over fox lol

So my only advice since I'm a relative newb myself is build for the future. These Tacoma's are expensive and I've already gone through 2 suspensions and 2-3 different bed racks because the direction of my truck keeps changing. #brokelife

I like my stage 6 icons with CVC valve. No regrets. I wish there was some way of test driving before getting them. I pretty much went blindly after reading a bunch of opinions here and there being an awesome sale on Black Friday. Super nice on long gravel/dirt roads/wash board type stuff. But real difference is when my old oem shocks would overhear from all the bouncing around on longer trips. These stay pretty cool.

Also this was a one stop shop for me. No need to search around for leaf packs or springs or UCAs. But for a lot of people that is part of the fun.

The fact that they break or can is concerning for sure. KING FTW.

Icon UCA's seem to fail pretty quickly also.

I'm going fox on my wife's Tacoma after I suggested icon for my brother. But his UCA's failed within a year.

I cant tell if that means you have learned from your brothers experience or if you mean to dissuade him.

I updated my half awake post.

I decided fox after my brother's issues.

Also the fox to King part comparison almost makes it a no brainer to go fox over king.

Plus kings are that Damn ugly blue.

Ah the mismatching conundrum with the ugly blue! What issues did your bro have? Got a link to the comparison chart as it sounds like a good read.

Sure is. But anything can break... just as inconvenient to take them off for a leak as it is anything else, including a top hat. Mines not a daily, and I don’t abuse them so I expect a nice long life out of them. That being said, yea I’d be pissed if they broke.

Yes I guess what he just said in caveman speak . Lmao
Of course King is going to show up !!
King people cannot stay out !!! Even if they tried !!! Not going to happen.
Be like king vs. icon...wtf would us Fox guys do??? Jump in that’s what !!!
Now to be perfectly fair , and I know this through much scientific research ..OME will never wander into this big three discussion and 99% of the time Icon will steer clear of Fox vs. King ! The fear of icon ridicule would keep them abay .
As for Billies , really!!! There just waiting to switch out there mistake and get Fox or Kings !
I hope this helps with the “triangular “ argument;)
