I think your 2014 would qualify. Meets the criteria of year and location. In my case the dealership, which I'd been to before, called me and asked to schedule it.

Just got off the phone with the dealer and scheduled in at 2p today for inspection.

I had my appointment with the dealer and here's the outcome. I was told by the service advisor that my frame was okay but I should come back in about two years to have it checked again at which time I will most likely need a new frame.

I pressed the service advisor about getting the CRC treatment and they said something along these lines, "Oh, you want to get the treatment? We can set that up for you once we have the materials to perform the work which should be within the month. Keep in mind that if you do the CRC treatment then you will not qualify for a new frame if you need one later on. Once the treatment is done, that's it."

I found this to be odd and told her that. My fault for not calling her out on the spot but I had not done my due diligence and read the paperwork I posted. Yep stupid mistake. I told her I needed to read up on this and would get back to her.

Here's what PAGE 1 of the paperwork says in RED ink to boot, "Note: If a vehicle is eligible to received the CRC application under LSC K0D, but the remedy is not performed before the expiration of the LSC K0D, the vehicle will not be eligible for frame replacement coverage under CSP ZKA."

Essentially the Toyota service advisor told me the EXACT opposite of what is the truth. I called her back and told her this and that she had stated the exact opposite of what the LSC K0D stated. She seem bewildered but did not offer an apology for her mistake.

The LSC K0D will expire for me on around 4/22/22. Had I blindly followed her guidance and not pursued the CRC treatment and needed a new frame down the road I would most likely have been screwed.

PLEASE READ LSC K0D very closely so you know if it applies to you and how it applies. I've attached it below.

Good job doing your homework and not letting the dealer screw you over. There have been too many people that have posted that “all of a sudden” their frame is rusted out so bad it’s unsafe and Toyota tells them they’re too late. So, in other words, they live in the salt belt and haven’t looked under their truck in the last 2 years.

I had the frame on my 2014 inspected at the dealership I work at last month and the guys in Service said it looked great. (It does have Ziebart undercoating with all yearly re-sprays done.) They haven't trained our guys on the new process detailed in the above pdf file, but they're supposed to get trained next month. I offered up my truck as something they can practice on. Looking forward to the extra protection.

Got my truck back today from the CRC Frame recall. They injected what looks like thick snot into the box part of the front of the frame after cleaning and drying it for several hours. There are also parts of the open channel midway down the frame that show the same snot where the welds come together. They do nothing the the rust on the welds and nothing is applied to the outside of the frame at all. Sorry not sure why the pic is upside down?!

Damn. Mine's a 2013, NOTHING like that. Just had the CRC done. Where is this truck? Given that everything under there is rusty...not just the frame, which we know is prone to it, makes me think the PO never washed it! so what else didn't they do?

It depends how handy you are and how much time and effort you are willing to put into it.I would need more pictures of the rest of the frame. The lone picture shows surface rust. I would wire wheel off the rust, hand brushes for those hard to reach areas.I would buy Ospho rust neutralizer apply Eastwood primer apply Eastwood black Chassis paint and then Amsoil heavy duty metal protector. Eastwood makes a product to apply inside the frame to clean out the accumulated debris and rust then you can apply Eastwood internal frame protector. This is my frame maintenance program which I'm happy with every year that goes buy I'm doing less touch up. My .02 Rust Never Sleeps Neil Young use that rust to get a discount. FYI I have no affiliation with Eastwood nor Amsoil I just like their products.G.L. in your search.

For the inspection my dealer wouldn't give me a loaner because it is less than 3 hours of labor. If I end up getting the goo applied I should be able to get one for that though
