Frame coverage for 2011+

What about the front part where the AC drain hose drains right into the frame? Some dud on youtube said he had his truck for only a few motnhs and it was already rusting. I havent doen the AC drain hose mod and Ive had mine for like 3 years now.

 

checking in on updates. Got a 2013 with 93k and live in salty Vermont. Fluid film is used but interested for future planning lol

 

Toyota has not release any dealer or technical bulletins as of yet.

Will update this as soon as any more info comes out.

There was an online course sent out for training. The Documents have not been released yet however.

My frame is starting to rust on my 2017. Do I try to fix it myself or let it go? Is it better to let it go and let the dealer replace it or coat it?

 

Toyota had the TSB out for the 2016s and 2017s even before they reached the lot.

Define rust.. surface rust is normal, just clean it off and paint over it. All vehicles do that

HDG is common on cars made in Yurp. There is no reason Toyota couldn't do it.

Nah. My $24k Golf had it. My $40k BMW has it. My Taco was $42k. There is a ridiculous amount of profit in body on frame trucks, they are very primitive vehicles.
