I've noticed a kind of squeak or creaking sound that sounds like it comes from the back end frame or suspension. Usually notice it getting out of the vehicle or going slow. Took it to Toyota but it wasn't squeaking at that precise moment so they wouldn't check into it.

Here's a crappy video that somewhat captures the issue. Thoughts?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sounds like the typical leaf spring creaking.

Cool. I guess. If it's typical is there a typical fix? Or just have Toyota deal with it?

I have it from time to time and I am sure there is a fix somewhere on here

I could give that a try but probably temporary as the wd40 washes off. What part of the springs is causing it? Mounting points? Or the springs themselves?

Check the air in the spare tire , it could be rubbing the frame. I've had that problem before

Fluid film works for about 5 months.

When I had a squeak in my Ranger, a mechanic sprayed the bushings down with WD-40 but it didn't work. The squeak was a real chirpy type of squeek. It was up front. Turned out to be the ball joints.

OP's squeak sounds different. So at least I just ruled out two things right there.

Just do the TSB and get the upgraded leafs. Idk why people think adding grease and oil is going to solve anything. Dirt sticks to it. Dirt makes noises.

    Interesting options in this thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/finally-killed-that-retched-leaf-spring-squeak.451011/

Keep in mind that leaf springs have creaked since the beginning of their use. As in forever. So it's not just a Tacoma/Toyota thing.

Here's another old time solution. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Leaf...pt-zyHQt2szppPwebjTAeSAttj1-Ncs8aAiqnEALw_wcB
