going to post the convo here shortly, anyone else get yanked around and inconvenienced by them over your frame?

first time I called, (aubrey alexander)they said come down on a saturday at 2 for an inspection upon arrival they only wanted to sell me a truck. so a few weekends later i get down and they check it in 5 minutes with a hammer. they hit my frame in two spot thats arent usually the big rust spots..

so i call corporate and they open up a claim, ask for the best times to call and never call then, and every time i call at those times my claim guy is busy.

Finally make me an appointment on a thursday, 2.5 hrs from where i work on a day that i work... at the shop that hit it with a hammer but i have freedom toyota 15 minutes down the road who also said I had the treatment already and cannot due anything else for me....

I had similar results with Toyota Corp. when calling after I was told to setup a claim by my local dealership in early June.

Finally after phone tag for what seemed like weeks my local dealer called me and said I needed to make an appointment to drop it off for the frame replacement.

The biggest inconvenience is they put me in a Camry for the first week and now I'm in a RAV4. I really need my truck bed back.

So after 10 weeks I got a call from them today saying they have not even gotten the frame in to start the work.
They claim Toyota will not pay for the upgrade in rental cost for a Tacoma.

I'll be perfectly honest, for a NE Taco, that rust doesn't seem so bad. I doubt it would fail inspection...

I'd be interested in how this turns out since my frame looks similar. Are they replacing the frame since the coating failed? I haven't located any perforation and it 'passes inspection' when I bring it in.

idk yet, however im a diesel tech, and i know if we warrenty something with a fix and it fails that hole part or system is on us. toyotas lack of prep on my undercoat left it to fail and now have rust. so i better get a new frame im showing up to my appointment next month creeper in hand and will point out the rust that they didnt see at aubrey. weather my frame itself fails or not. toyotas prevention under warrenty has failed. leaving me with rust minor or major. its due to the undercoat failure

im very anal with rust. dents/dings or scratches no big deal, rust frames dont fly. esp when it was "treated" and 4 years later it looks like that
