So I have the warranty letter from Toyota stating my frame passed with flying colours :D as well as the service receipt from the dealership detailing what they did...how many hours they worked on my truck and what type of rust proofing spray they used...Now I was under my truck and noticed there was a bare metal patch hidden on the frameg rail  I remembered I when wheeling just over a year ago and slide over a big rock which must have knicked it :( Ands Here's the kicker...there was not a speck of rust on it ...only shiny metal...Just goes to show you how good Toyota's frame treatment is...

I just bought an 01 and it had the frame treatment. The stuff is very oily and attracks dirt. Also, there are spots where there is rust and the frame treatment is falling right off with the rust. However, the inside of my frame has no rust...very smooth and clean. I am actually hoping my frame rusts though because I would like a new frame.

So I talked to Toyota today...They said there is no extra warranty on the frame once it has passed inspection and had the frame protectant applied...Is this true  I was under the impression once you got your frame inspected before the October deadline and passed...There is an additional 15 year warranty...
