I did rattle cans only one time - it is expensive here. After I found that FF actually does what it claims to do, I bought a spray gun and NAS can - it costs half of the price of AS-R. Did Tacoma and 4Runner last year and now it is ready for the next run. I still keep some rattle cans for "touch up" during the year. NAS is a bit thicker and can't be applied when it's cold (requires at least 80 F, otherwise it is to thick for spray gun).

By the way this stuff is not only for rust protection but it is lubrication at the same time. I tried different grease for the gate hinges and they always either washed out or turned into milk after the rain. On the other hand FF penetrates even wet hinges and stays there. Love that stuff, but my wife is always complaining when I lubricate the gate lock, as it gets really dirty to touch (I don't know why but she doesn't like dirty stuff :)).

I bought the 5 gallon bucket of fluid film, and applicator gun kit. Works great, and I have done 5 vehicles each of the last two years, and have used no more than about a gallon, so very economical after the initial investment.

I see you are in PA. When I was going to New England last fall I was going to see if I could get my truck FF'd for the same reason you want it done. Googled Fluid Film & got a website that lists their dealers/outlets that apply it. There were several in Vermont/New Hampshire, so there should be some in Pennsylvania. Can't find the link. Must not have saved it, but you should be able to come up with it. Seems like cost was around $150 at a couple of ones I called.

To add some info, Toyota does not recommend doing any undercoating as they will not support the warranty if something goes wrong underneath.
I called to ask if they do undercoating and they told me this. They then said I am warranted for 5 years against any rust issues.
Now I am just the messenger, lots of you have undercoating done, but my shop told me this. They mentioned the undercoating has some protection on it from the factory, so now I am reluctant to get it done, I am open to remarks about this and has anyone run into a problem with warranty issues after getting undercoating done,

Yes, I want to protect what I have. I remember in the 70,s they would spray all new cars with a undercoating coming from the dealer. I am in the salt belt and they spray a brine mixture on the roads prior to a snow storm and as you are driving I can see the white cloud getting kicked up from passing cars. The brine is brutal on cars and trucks in my area

Dobinson rear shocks, OME 2880 springs, AFE dry filter, BFG ATs, OME Dakar leaf springs. Wire-wheeled entire frame and drenched in POR15.
Did you make sure to use the pre-treatment before applying POR-15? I did, and 3 years into my treatment it's still perfect. I was extremely thorough with the wire wheel and then pre-treatment. I love POR15 it's simple and awesome. My 2 cents....

I'm sure applying fluid film annually will not void the warranty (it is washable). I think the third gen frame is a little better designed for drain holes so the cleaning inside the boxed frame is not as critical as in 1st gen where if any brine goes in, it will stay forever unless it is forced out by deep cleaning.

In my local Jula store (sorry, not available in US) I bought a simple drain cleaning kit (13 dollars) that basically is a 9-directions spraying head on flexible hose that can be connected to garden hose or even hot water tap.

    upload_2019-4-14_9-20-36.jpg

It is indented to clean drains, but will be good for cleaning boxed frames too

i am in the same boat with you, Sgt. Tee, had mine undercoated and paint protected when I bot it
not sure about any potential warranty issues as you questioned before
I could inquire with a dealer in my area in the midwest to see what they might say regarding undercoating new truck and warranty issues

are you intending to keep your truck for more than 5 years?

I never thought about using my Fluid Film 360 degree wand for spraying water internally instead of FF, but for those that just want a spray wand. => https://www.amazon.com/XZT-3000psi-...ocphy=9001892&hvtargid=pla-444393244242&psc=1

Probably one of the best things I have done to my truck, makes it so I can keep it for a very long time.

OK, so tell me about this Fluid Film hose. Or did I misunderstand?. My concern is getting it up inside the frame rails. Or do I have to make up a hose for the airless sprayer?

So, I'm still trying to get a handle on getting the NAS version of Fluid Film up inside the frame rails. Someone mentioned a "wand"?

Or better off doing Eastwood stuff on the inside and FF on the rest? Where you can get it applied.

I found the Kellsport kit. I may try to make one, being a cheap so and so.

I used two cans on my 02 in November, did inside the gate, door drain holes and sprayed as much as I could into the frame. After the winter and a pressure wash last week it looks great. I am very happy with it and plan on using it in the future. The backing plates and power steering rack kept it on as well. They use a lot of salt here in Massachusetts and this stuff holds its own.
