    I bought a frame for my rusted out 97 3.4 extended cab 4x4 manual .The frame is out of 99 2.7 extended cab 4x4 automatic. What frame mods needs happen to use the 99 frame ?

    I went from a 97 3.4 4x4 ext auto to 04 3.4 4x4 ext man . Only thing I can distinctly remember is the transmission crossmember being different other than that most everything should be the same I would think

    You are correct and the motor mounts on the frame is about a 1" forward on the 99

    3rz to 2Rz bebuilt block and new heads
    Thats reason they have those spacers.....to push whole drive train forward 3/4....up to 1 1/2 in..........

    That's interesting it's on the rear end that wouldn't help mine because the center support bearing . I plan on installing mine on the transmission end ???

    You have to have a yoke design to bolt it in......
    so yes on non slip joints should be able to use anywhere.....

    Same on the carriers.....there are some fancy poly carriers made for f150's I think....
    and because its a large inverted bracket that has to be modified to fit by cutting...drilling...so spacers/adapters...
    these are used for the big lifts....because they are so adjustable.....
