Might be a stupid question, or answered elsewhere, but for those of you with caps, do ya'll have a preference of the framed vs. frameless door? The Leer dealer I'm working with called me up to say that on the 180 I ordered (mid-rise), they typically come with frameless glass and a center latch, but for my 2017 dbl cab, short bed, they have to do the framed glass with the twin T handles. I've read in other places the framed glass is prone to breaking. Thoughts?

I looked at Snugtop as they seem to have the problem solved but the nearest dealer was about 3 hours away, his service on the phone was sub-par, and they come in at a higher price w/o option than the Leer I have decked out.

My DCLB Leer 180 also came with a framed door and double handle. I wanted the seamless and single handle so I could install the auto lock, but was told it didn't come configured that way.

I was told the same thing for the taco, even though it comes that way for other makes.

My Leer 180 has a framed rear window and I'm OK with it. I am not OK with EVERY opening on the cap leaking rainwater. Even the third brake light leaks...

You're a lucky guy. Brand new mine leaked. Too bad the nearest dealer is 3+ hours away.

That sucks to hear. I haven't hear of many leaking, but my dealer is in town, so if that happens I'll be sure to make some noise. Thanks for the heads up!

I have a leer 180 with framed glass. No problems with it although, I've never had frameless. Hopefully you got windoors. They are awesome.
