What's up. I have a single OEM leaf spring from a 2006 Double Cab.

I don't own a 2nd Gen, I used the other leaf spring to make a giant Crossbow, or more accurately a Roman Ballista. I used a single leaf to use as the launching mechanism. So that's why there's only one side. I picked these up off of Craigslist.

It is old. It has a lot of mileage. But hey, it's free! Original owner told me he had them removed for a warranty replacement. Has approx. 200,000 miles.

FREE as is, where is. Someone take it before I throw it in the trash.

Here's a picture of aforementioned Giant Crossbow/Ballista, in case anyone was curious.

The leaf spring was actually under so much pressure the leaf spring would just explode off of the wooden post every other time we used it. We used a 3 ton winch and 3/4 inch metal wire to tension it back. I went through a couple of 8 inch lag bolts because the sheer pressure the leaf spring was under basically shattered the bolt.

This isn't my video, but we based our design off of it. I think the guy in the video used a 1 ton pickup leaf spring.

I just spit out my coffee, they're in a graveyard... What a coincidence because they can easily die if that contraption goes awry :bananadead:

Coincidentally we got a little carried away with ours and pulled it down too far and the cable winch wouldn't release - we had to attempt to release it by hand in which it promptly exploded. The lag bolt snapped, the leaf spring flew forward, and the conduit we were using as a projectile flew up and literally almost impaled someone. The leaf spring was under so much pressure it actually bent it back into a U shape.

    Was a fun day.
