To quote an older post, any updates on the MPG thing? Curious on real Mileage numbers since I'm trying to squeeze more out of my 09 DCSB 6MT.

The kit doesn’t include the manual hubs, it includes everything in the first picture (times 2).

    Product Review:
For those of you out there thinking of thinking of doing the conversion to locking hubs, I created a video of the process. I have also included in the tutorial section of the video all the wrench sizes and torque values needed.

Overall the process was not that hard. The only problem I ran into was separating the outer cv from the axle, but there is nothing a HF cutoff wheel couldn't fix :) The install time was about 4 hrs for each side including the hour spent cutting the CV off the axle.

I converted approx. 1 mo ago and think its a great setup For an old schooler who likes freewheeling hubs it is a great option.
I am located in South eastern VA area and can help anyone who wants to do the job.

That is a great video :hattip: I added to OP per your permission, thanks!

Another way to seat the stub into the bearing is to place the Aisin body on the wheel hub and temporarily install the bolt with washer (golden washer), it'll pull it into place.

If the lack of parasitic loss shows up as 1-2 mpg added to the lack of wear, would be excellent.
CJ - Thanks for making the vid.

To answer the question of parasitic loss..
My gut feel seat of the pants experience from prior vehicles with free wheeling hubs (75/79 Cherokee, 92/96 taco, 02 Suzuki)

There will be a gain of maybe couple miles per gallon but also less moving pats to wear out.
I can say there are less vibes from the cv's. I am running approx. 2.5 lift.

@Micahz7 replied to me he's seeing 3 or 4 mpg savings after running it a few months

I'm surprised this hasn't caught on more. It's about 50% out of budget for me. Maybe Price will come down over time...
