My gf's dad used to spend all summer living up along these roads at hunting camps, infact he still has the road map from back when he was like 20 and it has literally every road in Maine on it. He said back in the day, as soon as you entered the reserve roads they would tail you in a bronco and just stare you down, 41 in a 40? FAT TICKET. I say just watch our backs and roads are roads up there.

Eh, I've never had too much of an issue up there. The logging roads are the wild west up there. Yeild to logging trucks and if your truck can physically exceed the speed limit on some of those roads, power to you.

It's real nice up there. Quiet. Saw 1 park ranger and 2 trucks in 140miles of dirt road. Zero houses, camps, or anything. Everything is set back off the logging roads pretty well into the woods as the Maine guys on here could tell you I'm sure.

Mind you that was a good 30 years ago hahaha but it sounds like a good majority became strictly logging roads, sounds like a fun time with possible corner drifting :anonymous:

What / when is that event?
I painted my sliders in my basement last year right before the snow started to fly.. 2 cans of primer and 3 cans of black. House stank for a solid week, roommates were not impressed haha

My wife and I will be there Friday night, probably around 7.
I'm not sure how sites have been divided up but we just have a small ground tent

Does someone have on-board I could refill with?

Alright so who is heading up friday midday? I took the day off so I should be ready to go.by like 11am-ish. Heading out from Waltham and down to hit any forest roads etc.

If not I'll just head up there and explore a while until people filter in.

    Pm me the deets!

"Know" is such a strong word....
I'd say I'm a proficient map reader with a lot of navigating fortune.

I do have for sure routes as well though. I'll get a final time early this evening. If all goes well the gf should either have tomorrow off or will only need to go in for a few hours. That will be the determining factor for me. Mid day is probably just fine.

We are currently at or maybe even one over our trucks/ camp site limit for the ones we had reserved. Does anyone know if @Basidiomycota is still going? I had him as a maybe and havent seen him in a while. If he IS going, that will put us at 9 trucks... in which case him and you @Mongoose could split another site?
