yesterday my truck ran fine. This morning I started her up and it sounded like a bad bad dry start. I shut her off checked oil and added oil. Cylinder 5 does have a bad oil ring so she consumes oil a bit.
She still feels like there is no oil in it. I won’t run it for longer then 15 seconds.
Is it possible the oil pump burnt out from running low? Please help

I add the Lukas heavy duty oilstabilzer and check it quite often. She was low on the dip stick but still registering.
This morning was really cold and my battery is really week. The first start she started but ran really rough. I had to jump it the second time and she still ran really scary.
After sitting in the sun for 30 min and a new battery she started up like nothing was wrong. I can’t figure it out. The luckas oil was extremely thick in this mornings cold plus a trashed battery.

Or maybe the water pump was frozen causing a belt to burn but it’s all Toyota coolant. The exhaust was smoking and the engine bay started to smoke and smell. This truck is 12 years old and been through many cold storms but never with oil this thick

Oh, I think you figured it out.

Change the oil and get the snake oil out. You already took care of the battery part.

Ok I figured it out. My rack and pinion has a bad seal and my power steering has been dying. The truck ran amazing after the battery and 30 min inthe sun. I just tried starting her up after sitting in the cold for a few hours. Started great but then ran rough. Thought it was thick oil and I tried to push through it. The cab started filling with smoke. BOOM I snapped the sepentine belt. The only pulley that won’t spin is my power steering pump. That explains the burnt smell and really rough idle.
