Sue the seller, you had a verbal agreement with you, and he broke it.

most agreements over a certain dollar value have to be in writing to be valid. see the term "statute of frauds."

besides, there would be 2 witnesses claiming he didn't have an agreement, the seller and the "friend." he'd lose.

I'm missing something here; why'd you take this guy with you in the first place?

If I take a friend to look at a car it's cause I've got the money with me and I'm figuring on closing the deal and driving it home. But you didn't bring any money; so why the friend?

"Great Stuff" (you know the aerosol insulation that expands once sprayed) into the filler neck of the gas tank... he will be stranded somewhere on empty and very upset about this one.

    Update:

Trip in the woods was almost a miss, but at the last few hundred meters of trail, he suddenly stopped and said 'uhhh I will be right back' He ran off into the woods while I sat there in my -- I mean HIS -- nice warm truck and waited for about 15 mins.

He then came back, dropped me off right away and headed home.

He doesn't suspect anything so far so its looking like more fun to come.

I remember friends telling me about sticking some kid putting starbursts on to peoples cars in high school. Supposedly in the texas heat, the starbursts start to melt and the sugar ruins the paint.

Dumping Coke all over the truck would be an option, as it is very hard on the paint. When I used to detail cars, we would use it to take off stubborn stuff stuck on the paint.

Really, due to legal implications, it is best not to do anything. As anything you do could come back to bite you in the long run. As sorry as it is, just write the asshat off and chalk one up for a life lesson.

Ask him what the capital of Thailand is. If he correctly answers "Bangkok", kick him in the nuts. If he gets it wrong, kick him in the nuts anyway, then tell him he's a dumb motherf**ker.

Oh yeah, don't take the keys. That's a felony. ...unless he's dead and he's left it to you in his will. ...nevermind that his death was horribly suspicious and the will was written in crayon on a napkin.

...i should stop talking now. :spy:

I like the gear oil in the heater vent... gonna save some old stuff next time. Gotta love burnt gear oil smell.

Shoulda poured a bunch of hydrogen peroxide into that shampoo. Free hair bleaching!
Also contact solution in anything they drink/eat does wonders
