Hey Guys! Just about to get my 06 Taco with 16k miles on it. I am buying it for 22,977. Do you think this is a good buy? Moving from a 2004 VW GLI.

'06 with 16k is way low miles! I don't think it is worth 22 though... You can get like an '08-'09 with that amount of miles on it for close to the same price I am thinking if you look around. Excellent truck though!

is that a minnesota plate on the new truck .... check hard for rust they use a lot more salt out there .... if i still lived in the area any used vehicles i bought would come from north dakota or down south somewhere.

Yep. I am from WI but closest to Minneapolis. Everything get dowsed in salt. I checked it out and the underside looked reasonable. Obviously it is not brand new, but there wasen't anything alarming

good to know, yea i lived up in minocqua for a summer and couldnt believe how bad some of the vehicles from the early to mid 90s got, i had never seen rusted out stuff first hand until then

the best one i saw was in iowa there was a mid 90s corolla that you could see the window thru the doors!

Yeah the miles are super low but $22K for an 06' seems a little high to me but then again, I'm not a resale expert.

    thats yotas in general

how i remember looking for a taco back in 2008 .... wanted a 4cyl xcab .... ended up with a 99 mazda 4cyl xcab with 90k on it for $4500 after every single yota in the same price ranger had over 200k on it or was a single cab.

Im guessin the 22k is at a dealer too ... private party i agree that truck should go for 18k or so

If it has a clean Carfax with good maintenance records, I would say offer 21.5 on the truck. If the under carriage is like you say it is, then its like a new truck and worth the money.
