FNG here, I hope I’m in the right forum LOL,,, i’ve seen a video where someone mounted a wireless camera on their grill that Bluetooth to their cell phone but I can’t find it anymore, they use this camera so when going over a hill they could look over the hill without having to get out and see what was on the other side, has anybody heard of this camera or know what I’m talking about?

I appreciate the response, i’ve already read that thread that you linked and it’s not quite what I’m looking for, the other link for the Bluetooth cameras is more of what I’m looking for but the video that I saw on this type of install was Toyota specific and it was not a rear camera installed on the front it was actually just a camera mounted on the grill that was pointing downward so when I go over a hill I don’t have to get out and look and see what’s down the hill, I hope I’m not confusing you, and I really appreciate your help

Not confused at all. Seems like a easy thing, bluetooth camera that links to your phone, if you want it linked to the head unit... that I don't know. Seems like you would just need to find out the best way to mount it.

    Try this one

I think this may be something that I can use, I got this off your first link, it looks adjustable so if I mount it on top of my grill I can actually aim it downwards, like I said that way I can see what’s over the hill instead of having to get out and look, plus it’s waterproof, I appreciate the link and if you happen to find anything else in the way of what I’m looking for please let me know, thanks a lot!

Imo you're better off with the germes lab or whatever it's called. It's probably the one mod that I use the most. Other than clazzios. It's super handy

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Good luck finding a durable camera. I put a trailer cam on my '06 Taco which worked very good for a couple of years or so and is now slowly dying as moisture infiltrates the circuitry.

I bought the wireless transmitter at Frys Electonic. Got the camera off eBay and I used this diagram to hook it up.

I do something similar. The camera creates a wifi hotspot for my phone to connect to, then I run an app called F-Car to see the image. Framerate is bad (probably 15 fps) but gets the job done for crawling. Image quality is better than the OEM surround video camera on 2020 trucks

Be sure to connect the camera power to a source you can switch from within the cab, because the camera can crash and needs restarting about once per hour. I wired mine to the fog lights.

You can also do it with a GoPro and control it with the GoPro phone app, but wiring it for constant power while keeping it weatherproof is a challenge.

Totally satisfied with my Germes install and bought the Natika camera and it’s been going for about 2 years problem free. Double tap the mode button on the steering wheel and voila, front cam on head unit. Arrow up or down and it toggles between front and rear camera.
