Mine looked the same at 26XXX miles. Paved roads only. Soft POS rubber. How tight did you install them? I tightened mines till the lower rubber pad was about 1/64-1/16 passed the metal washer. I tried to install them loose but the nut was finger spinning. Had to tighten till the nut was securely tight.

I just tightened it felt snug. I used a wrench on the top and a socket on nut and secured it without getting crazy. I’m amazed at how well the front of the truck feels after doing this swap. No slop and such a better feel.

Took my truck in for this clunk one more time before my warranty expires and dealership found these body mounts and blamed it on them and sent me away. Told them I put them on to address the clunk it didn't cause it. They claim they took it up the Toyota totem pole and Toyota HQ told them they couldn't warranty anything or do anything since "there is evidence of outside influence" or some BS. Just a word of caution if this doesn't fix your clunk, swap them back to the Toyota Bushings before you take it in.

So I essentially have this same clunk and I’ve felt with it for years. One thing I’ve noticed is I have a new clunk noise that only really happened when a. Heavier type person sits in the passenger seat. What do you think that could be? I’m about to replace my pads and regrease my brake components to see if that takes care of my brake clap. Anyway, let me know what you guys think about my additional clunk. Oh and it normally happens going over deep pot holes or man hole covers. Thanks!

Well, its been 1 week since I have replaced the front bushings and have been under the truck almost daily...After the replacement I have an annoying squeak/creak now. Anybody else has the same thing? Any fix?

I just did this in about 40 mins, mainly took longer finding a piece of wood to jack the body up. My passenger side was squeaking and after a drive around the block I can already tell a big difference. My truck has 23k on it and one side was already toast, bad Toyota, bad.

I redid mine yesterday after 2 weeks of use with squeaking. Took them apart, greased them and back torqued to 40Lb. Good now.

I just replaced the front mounts on my truck yesterday and my hood figment is the exact same as shown in your pictures. I’ve only adjusted the rubber stops the hood rests on and it didn’t fix anything. I suppose I’ll need to loosen and adjust the hood with new bolts as you stated.

Just replaced mine, not that easy. Took over an hour on the first side and a half on the other. Jacking the front of the truck up I heard snap crackle pop on both sides, but I don’t think I broke anything.

Whichever the case, the second side was a bitch to line up, had to use a crow bar and was worried it would slip off the jack and support. Finally got it done and the old mounts (only 7000 miles) were pretty worn.

And totally fucked up my back because I couldn’t get the creeper under the truck with the floor jack in the way.

    I’m getting drunk it’s Saturday

You're supposed to grease these bushings? Outside or inside?

The black bushings from Energy Suspension do not need grease. The red ones do. Don’t bother with the stock ones. Just replace them with black poly from energy suspension.

What kind of grease should I use before product installation?

Answer: We recommend Energy Suspension's Formula 5 Prelube. This is included in most kits which require lubrication and additional Prelube may be purchased from your local Energy Suspension authorized dealer. If you are unable to use our Formula 5 Prelube, we suggest using a synthetic, water resistant marine-grade grease for optimum lubrication and retention. Energy's Formula 5 Prelube may be purchased in bulk for commercial shop use.

I heard popping coming from a couple places also and still needed to go up another 1/2in or so. You used the bushing with the sleeve on it for the top correct? Did you do driver side or pass first?

I'd love to get these installed but I'm concerned with the popping noises while jacking it up when trying to get the upper bushing in. I'm assuming everyone else has been wearing earplugs and powering through it

It’s all good do either side first. The noise was mainly plastic sounding, probably snaps holding stuff together. You only have to jack it up 1/2” beyond the original bushing

First off please forgive me for posting this question here if I am violating some unwritten law. 2014 second gen. 4x4 regular cab. 35k with the same "clunk" @ slow speed R/H turn over a speed bump.
I have not found a decisive fix in 2nd gen. forum. So,same frame/cab mounting and access on the 2nd as on the 3rd gen? Other than bushing P/Ns can I follow the same step by step spelled out in this thread?

I would think so. Seems like everything structural between the second and third are almost identical. Would definitely be the cheapest option to taking a stab at solving your problem. Worst case scenario, you have beefier front body mounts.

Cemented. Appreciate the feedback, thoughts and help on my "problem". After looking into it and other possibilities I found myself spending a few bucks on a new tool. Not sure if this has been talked about on the forum before but I purchased and am now using a product produced by a company called DEPSTECH. It's a Wi-Fi connected boroscope. I used it with an IPad to take pictures. I don't have the link so just type in the name. $35 bucks.
    This is $ well spent.

My 2 cents for anyone thinking they want to do this ( you should, good upgrade) I bought the black bushings since I thought I didn't have to lube them, big lie. I've been running mine for a while now, make sure you add some lube or they'll squeek and drive you crazy
