Front Body Mount Noise Fix - That noise may not be your leaf springs

So they replaced them twice? They gave me shit cause I had after market suspension they wanted me to put everything back to stock including the wheels

 

Yes. They have been replaced at both the 5000 and 10000 mile services.

 

I should try a different dealer they wouldn’t even look at mine

 

Wouldn’t hurt. They tried to originally tell me it was my aftermarket exhaust which I know wasn’t the case but they did figure it out. Will have to see how long this set lasts

 

I’m gonna try one more time if not I’m just gonna get them replaced with the energy suspension bushings

 

I reached out to a different dealer and gave me the same shit that they won’t check it since I have aftermarket parts

 

OP, thanks for the write up and clear instructions. Made changing out the bushings pretty easy.

I have ~20,000 miles on my OR and my bushings were shot. The metal sleeves were trashed and appeared to be scored/scratched on the inside.

I'm hoping the Energy bushings fix the intermittent clunking I sometimes hear/feel from the RF.

For those who had this fixed by the dealer, was there a cost to replace the body mount bushing? My 2020 started squeaking around 2000 miles (or less) and is almost due for 5000 mile maintenance.

 

I was not charged for it

 

So the dealer said they didn't hear anything, of course so I figured I'd wait until it was undeniable. But I was under the truck installing a Pop & Lock for the tailgate and I'm pretty sure now the noise is coming from the spare tire mount. I reckon I didn't crank it back in place tight enough the last time I put it up.

 

Great job OP-- Read through the entire thread and after some research I come back with 2 kits from ES I'm looking at. Has anyone installed the 9.4102R kit?

I was thinking this might help with a small amount of front end leveling after an aftermarket bumper install as the upper mount is beefier.

I can now confirm that the squeaking I heard was due to the spare tire being slightly loose. I cranked it up good and tight and the sound went away. After the guy at Toyota said I shouldn't have that issue on the 2020 body mounts because they (apparently?) changed the mounts, it got me looking for the noise elsewhere. So if you've got a 2020, give your spare tire a good shove and see if it squeaks.

 

If you have a lot of squeaks, or even just 1, Get the truck sprayed with juice like Corrosion Free, Krown, etc. I've never had any because it it.

I had the loud clunk noise from P/F. Took about 2 hours to change both (Energy Suspension-

$28 9.4101G UNIVERSAL MOUNT

9.4101G UNIVERSAL MOUNT & slathered them with

$14 Energy Suspension 9.11104 8 OZ TUB OF FORMULA 5 PRELUBE

Energy Suspension 9.11104 8 Oz Tub Of Lubricant). The passenger side needed changing, drivers side didn't look bad, but since I was there I changed it out also. I think the biggest pain in the butt was the little orange clip.

 

any update on this? Thinking the same as you but would love a second opinion
