    My 21 OR started squeaking from the passenger side at 3500 miles. Conveniently timed itself with my suspension upgrade which had me inspecting the wrong parts this entire time.

    I had the universal kit for a while but still kept getting pops. I think it’s because they didn’t seem to fit snug in the holes of the frame. So I got the 8.4109G kit which is for older Tacomas and just used the 2 rad support ones. The center rubber piece fit snug in the hole when I lowered the body back down. It’s the bushings circled in red. The diameter isn’t as big as the universal but they seem to be working good so far. Kits like $95 on Amazon but I sold the other bushings I don’t need.

    I wanted to add additional anecdotal evidence here. I’ve had the “farm truck” or “mattress” squeak since about 3,000 miles. Brought it in today for 10k service.

    the culprit is indeed the drivers side body mount. The SA was able to reproduce the noise.
    *\
    pushing downward directly on the upper radiator core support. Found the source. The forward most driver's side body mount. The metal sleeve is contacting the body and frame. Parts in stock and being installed now. Hope to be done in an hour but could be longer.

    */

    should be covered under warranty, and if the squeak is gone, I’ll be happy to drive the truck again!

    Did they fix it and by any chance mess up your alignment in the process? I just had mine fixed by a dealer, but they somehow managed to tweak my alignment too.

    There is no possible way to screw up the wheel / suspension alignment doing this. The suspension is tied solely to the frame. The cab mounts connect the cab to the frame.

    On mine, I did have to adjust the other cab mounts for cab alignment because the left front one was so far off.

    That’s also what I understood going into it, so this mishap has got me scratching my head. I’ll get to the bottom of it on Monday once the tech comes back to work. Absolutely makes zero sense this would happen.

    Was having issues with ridiculous popping noises in my 18 Tacoma and stumbled on this thread… sure enough…..

    Replaced with the energy suspension kit. Getting the drivers side mount back on was a real bitch, but I worked through it and no more popping noises. Truck has 35k on the ODO.

    it’s a pretty stupid design TBH. Should have come with something like the Energy bushings from the factory.

    2018 @ 56000 left is passenger side right is driver's. Funny how the passenger side failed first when I had to pry the crap out of the driver's side to get it to line up.:notsure:
