Hoping one of TWs electrical experts can help me here...

I have the Meso 2 switch shift knob, and was thinking if it was possible to have the second momentary switch trigger a front camera when depressed. The truck has an aftermarket headunit, a 9" Sony CarPlay unit, with the factory rear camera connected and working properly.

Can the shifter momentary button be controlled to make one press ON, and second press OFF? I'm not a relay expert.

Essentially need to trick the headunit into seeing reverse trigger signal and then switch the composite video signal from rear to front camera. Once button is let go or OFF, signal path of camera returns to rear video camera. Need the button press trigger 12v to camera, 12v to video switcher, and reverse signal to headunit.

I'm not sure if the reverse signal would trigger the reverse lights, but perhaps a properly used Diode could prevent this?

Guessing this could handle the video switching:
