    Just did my front diff today, way too easy. I actually found it much easier to do than an oil change.

    :eek: Actually I think I just hit 13, and I've reused the 4 washers on the diffs at least 5 times each.

    I just clean the crush washers, mating surfaces, and drain plugs well before I re-install. Haven't had a leak yet. I don't use a torque wrench either, just get er snug.

    Mine have been before. I just pop it off with a knife or razor blade or something. Most of the time they're not but it happens.

    I'm not sure where he got his but you can find the screw on ones at walmart and a syringe type one at autozone (what I have)

    You can use a twisted wire nylon bottle brush that fits the drain hole to pull out any solid and liquid residue that may remain in the "sump" of the differential...especially if the oil removed is very dark.

    What about the manual tranny? Doesn't seem like anyone is doing that? Book says it takes 75-90 too.

    I did mine - same time as I did rear dif, front dif and transfer. All use same oil so it's a no brainer. I did it around 30 and will do it again around 60.

    After my second time of replacing all my differential fluid and having trouble with bottle pumps and the grease gun sized syringes I have determined from now on I will just be using the bottle and a clear plastic hose to manually pump the fluid with hand strength. Every other option had failed me. The differential fluid change I did most recently, all I did was use a clear plastic hose and the bottle.
