Weak point is the inner cv housing, they crack under the huge strain, I would look into keeping spares.

Agreed, but I am uncomfortable posting on TW about our products until we get signed up as a vendor/sponsor. Don't want to tick anyone off or get banned.

Have sent two emails/messages to ask where to send $$ but no reply.

I was figuring I would eventually SAS my truck but the option of a nice e-locker in the front might change that plan...

I really miss the front Truetrac on my 89 P/U but does not seem to be available for my 04 Tacoma.

Will this e-locker fit the front diff my Tacoma TRD Off Road with a B03A/ axle code? My confusion stems from this:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gear-ratio-confirmation-04-dc-4x4-trd-or.304549/

Also here. they say the 04 Tacoma has a 8" diff. with 30 splines. I counted the splines on an old axle I have and there's 27 splines.
    http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/diffs/

Does anyone know if a Truetrac has been successfully installed into the 04 Tacoma front diff? I see 2 Toyota 7.5" front diff TrueTrac models. One with 45mm axle bearing journals and one with 50mm journals

Interesting. We have successfully iinstalled Harrop p/n A11167 in first gen Tacomas. See attachment.

Ken Francisco @ZUK is our go-to guy for fitment, but he is on holiday this weekend. Will ask him to opine.

    Thanks! :)

I contacted ECGS when I was debating what to install in the front diff. The truetrac can be made to fit, but ECGS has to do some extra machining to make it work. Also, because it's not an open diff, it will make your front driveshaft spin if you don't have manual hubs.

Thanks smmarina, just what I was hoping to hear. I'll contact East Coast Gear Supply later to see if there still willing to give it a go. I prefer manual hubs anyways...was nice in LA traffic to throw it in to 4 low and crawl along with out hitting the brakes all the time. Plus I figure the outer CV boots would last longer too.

But...if you end up installing the elocker, would like to hear a review if you think it is a good match for the Tacoma front end. I consider it kind of a light duty front diff and CV's and maybe a full locker is over kill.
